Frequently Asked Questions

What are your office hours?

I provide telehealth therapy appointments on some evenings. At this time (Summer, 2023) II am not currently taking on any new therapy client. Saturday mornings I conduct psychological testing in person, at my office.

Do you offer a sliding scale fee?

I do not offer sliding scale or discounted services at this time.

Do you take insurance?

I am considered a private-pay, or out-of-network (OON) provider and I am not on any insurance panels. This means that you will pay for your sessions at the time of the service and you can seek reimbursement from your insurance, if you would like. I can provide you a superbill (a listing of your services with appropriate billing codes) if you would like to try to seek reimbursement from insurance, but I do not work directly with any insurance companies.

How do I schedule an appointment with you?

Please call me at 305 -304-4196 and we can have a brief, initial phone consultation to see if we are a good match for working together and if I think I can assist you with your needs. At that time, we can then schedule a telehealth intake for the standard 60 min initial session. Many people feel more comfortable initially reaching out by email-please know that email is not encrypted end to end and your confidentiality cannot be guaranteed over email. If you choose to email, please do not provide specifics of your needs, but only your contact information so that I may call you back.

How long are appointments?

The first session is usually about 60 minutes so that I can gather enough information to formulate a treatment plan and share that with you. Follow up therapy sessions are the standard “therapy hour” of 45-50 mins. Appointments for psychological testing are usually several hours in length.
